Founded by parents and professionals, the Maharashtra Dyslexia Association (MDA) has spent 30 years advocating for and supporting individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) in India. Evolving into a premier centre of excellence, MDA provides a comprehensive ecosystem of direct services, including diagnostic assessments, evidence-based remediation, counselling, and parent guidance.
Beyond individual support, MDA strengthens inclusive education nationwide. It empowers educators, psychologists, and therapists through recognised training programs, partnering with schools, universities, and government institutions. Crucially, MDA adapts internationally validated research and interventions to fit India’s unique multilingual and multicultural classrooms.
Knowledge sharing is a core pillar of MDA's mission. Its renowned READ conferences bring together global researchers and practitioners to bridge the gap between science and classroom application - highlighted by its landmark April 2026 Asia-Africa Regional Conference on multilingual dyslexia instruction.
