Dyslexia Therapist Training Programme

The Dyslexia Therapist Trainees will receive training through the Sounds In Syllables (SIS) programme.  This Orton-Gillingham based programme was developed by Ms Sandra Dillon, Director Emeritus of the Multisensory Language Training Institute of New Mexico (MLTI-NM).

On successful completion, candidates with a Master’s degree will be eligible to appear for the examinations conducted by the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) for certification as Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), and the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), an affiliate of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), for certification as Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Specialist (SL/DS).

The PASS Reading Enhancement Programme (PREP)

Based on the PASS Theory of Intelligence—Planning, Attention-Arousal, Simultaneous, and Successive Processing—this program incorporates ten diverse tasks tailored to meet individual student needs. Each task features both a global training component and a curriculum-related bridging component, ensuring comprehensive skill development. MDA has successfully implemented PREP for children aged 6 to 12, the program has shown impressive results in enhancing reading abilities.
