Internship Programme

The Three Level Dyslexia Training Programme

The first of its kind in India, this programme trains specialists to teach the structure of the English language using multisensory therapy for reading, writing, and spelling disorders. Successful candidates can appear for certification exams by the Academic Language Therapy Association and the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), affiliated with the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). The Perceptive and Cognitive Teacher Foundation Course in Specific Learning Disorder (SLD)

This ONLINE Foundation Course offers a modular learning experience across six key areas of Specific Learning Disorder. The course uses innovative ‘Learning Circles’—a digital, collaborative platform for peer learning and expert guidance. Participants engage in live, interactive (synchronous) sessions and self-paced (asynchronous) activities, including reading materials, discussions, case studies, and quizzes. The course emphasises real-time problem-solving with expert Facilitators guiding participants through teaching challenges.

To qualify for the Dyslexia Teaching Programme, participants must successfully complete all six modules of the Foundation Course:

Dyslexia: Classroom Strategies Psycho-Educational
Report: Interpretation to Action
Smart Learning – Independent Learner
Multisensory Intervention & Making Sounds Meaningful
Unravelling the Mystery Behind the Way Words are Spelt

Upon completion of the modules and assignments, participants will receive a participation certificate. To earn the Certificate of Successful Completion, participants must pass the final examination. This certificate, along with a Bachelor’s degree, qualifies candidates for the Dyslexia Teaching Programme.

Admissions NOW OPEN for Maharashtra Dyslexia Association's Dyslexia Teaching Level - IDA Accredited PLUS Programme, the first of its kind in India, for its alignment with the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading (KPS)!

The DYSLEXIA TEACHING LEVEL – ACCREDITED PLUS PROGRAMME comprises of the following:

1.The Perceptive & Cognitive Teacher (6 modules-online)

2.The Dyslexia Teacher Training (one year - 120 hours of instruction - synchronous with 70 hours of supervised practicum).

Our dyslexia teacher trainees become specialists in teaching the structure of the written English language and in utilising intensive multisensory therapy techniques designed for students with reading, writing, and/or spelling disorder.

COURSE DURATION: 15 Months – May 2026 to August 2027

Teaching Maths the Multisensory Way

This 3-module programme equips teachers with multisensory techniques using the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) method to improve math learning for Pre-Primary to Grade 7 students. Participants will learn to identify key stages of math learning, develop teaching materials, and apply hands-on, visual, and abstract methods to enhance understanding and math fluency.

The training covers:

Concrete Stage: Using physical objects to teach concepts
Representational Stage: Visual aids like drawings to connect ideas
Abstract Stage: Teaching through numbers and symbols

Language Arts Curriculum Training Programme

This programme focuses on developing a multisensory English curriculum for ESL learners from Pre-Primary onwards. Designed by Masarrat Khan and Rameeza Khan, it equips teachers to apply evidence-based, multisensory instruction in literacy. Classroom observations and progress monitoring of students’ phonological processing, reading, and spelling skills are integral to the programme, currently implemented in three schools.
