Kate Currawalla is the Founder President of MDA. Since its inception, she has worked to expand the organisation’s activities to ensure that children with Specific Learning Disabilities have access to high-quality services and support in their pursuit of an appropriate education within the mainstream system. Her sense of enterprise and perseverance have led to several successful partnerships in the areas of training and publications. In 2003, she was elected a Fellow of Ashoka Innovators for the Public, a Washington-based foundation that promotes innovative entrepreneurship in the voluntary sector worldwide.
