Masarrat holds Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and English Literature from Mumbai University. She is a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist and a Certified Academic Language Therapist. As the Course Coordinator, Trainer, and Clinical Supervisor for the Dyslexia Therapist Training Programme offered by MDA, in collaboration with Ms. Sandra Dillon, author of the Sounds-In-Syllables Program (USA), she plays a key role. Masarrat is also a Pre-Primary and Primary Curriculum Developer and Trainer for English Language and Maths. She was one of the primary investigators in the development of DALI—Dyslexia Assessment for the Languages of India—and has presented papers both nationally and internationally. With over three decades of invaluable experience in Learning Differences, Masarrat has been nominated as a Member of the International Executive Council of the Global Inclusive Education Network and is a Founding Member of the European Literacy Network
