Greetings from Maharashtra Dyslexia Association!
The Covid-19 pandemic has made children with learning and other disabilities more vulnerable to increased isolation and stigmatisation. And it has, in turn, made us more determined than ever before to find newer and meaningful ways to engage with them.
On the ocassion of World Dyslexia Awareness Month October 2020, we look forward to your valuable support in spreading awareness about Dyslexia and other Learning Disabilities and to work towards creating equal and compassionate classrooms.
In line with this year’s theme, you and your school can join us in ‘Unlocking Dyslexia’ by:
- Registering for our Free Awareness Webinars ( duration of about an hour) for all school teachers at a time and date of your convenience from 5 October till the end of the month. (Form attached)
- Encouraging students with Specific Learning Disability (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia) to participate in a virtual exhibition ‘Unlocking Dyslexia: Unlocking Talent’ on 8 October. (Details attached)
- Participating in the international campaign: Go Red for Dyslexia 2020 by sharing photos of students and staff wearing the colour red on social media platforms along with the #goredfordyslexia and tag @mdadyslexia. This campaign is being run in India by Scanning Pens India Pvt. Ltd.
In addition, we also have a host of other virtual events like webinars, panel discussions and talks during the Awareness Month. (Calendar attached. Registration details to follow shortly)
