TWO YEAR PART-TIME CERTIFICATE COURSE IN LANGUAGE THERAPY
Recognised by the Academic Language Therapist Association (ALTA), USA.
Lead Trainer:
Ms. Sandra Dillon, M.A., C.A.L.T., Director, MLTI-NM, is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (C.A.L.T.) and a Qualified Trainer and Qualified Instructor, with decades of experience at the Albuquerque Public School’s Language Clinic for Dyslexic Students. She is the author of Sounds In Syllables, an Orton-Gillingham based curriculum designed to meet the needs of bright but severely reading-impaired high school students, which has been in use for over 30 years as the core curriculum in public schools and clinics across the USA and Canada. Ms. Dillon will conduct lectures in person at MDA as well as via video throughout the duration of the programme.

Eligibility: Graduation in Psychology, Human Development, Child Development, Language, Education or related fields. Preference will be given to mainstream teachers, occupational and speech therapists and those already in the field of Special Education.
Course Fee: Rs 65,000/- for the first year, inclusive of basic kit sufficient to start with the first student. Rs 55,000/- for the second year.
Course begins 13th June 2016
15 Days Theory and Hands-on Practice Classes in June 2016 at MDA, Dadar (E). Thereafter, contact classes will be held in 5 modules of 4 days each every alternate month.
Course completion certificates will be awarded by MLTI-NM and MDA jointly.
Brochures, Curriculum and Application Forms are available on payment of Rs. 250/- (+Rs. 60 p&p) at MDA, Deonar, mid February onwards .Please send in a demand draft for Rs. 310/- along with your full name and address, if you wish to have the Application Package couriered to you.
Last Date for Acceptance of Applications: 14th March 2016.
Applicants who fulfil the admission criteria will be informed of their interview dates before 5th April.
